In order to keep my illustrator skills sharp and experimenting, I'm doing a daily challenge with breakfast that changes every month and adds to my Portfolio.
You'll find them recorded on my Instagram page, where you can see the latest challenge.
Most challenges involve taking no more than 25 minutes on the day's contribution.
For this month I decided I wanted to work on my Pyrography skills! Using a wooden board just under 1 by 2 feet, I worked in small daily segments that I filmed to make the process video below.
This allowed me to render a fully detailed burning of a Waterfall scene my father showed me on a walk (or more accurately scramble and climb!) up the burn behind his house, where he used to play as a boy. Very impressive experience, and delightful to have immortalized!
